We make passing your driving test in Brampton easy!

G2 and G road test preparation

Our driving test preparation packages are designed to help you understand the nature of a G2 or G test. Based on the test level you are practicing for, we will break down all the required elements to be performed during your evaluation. As a regional driving school, we specialize in drive test centers in Brampton, Orangeville and Mississauga.

Take a look at some surprising, prior years road test statistics

” Ontario drivers who take their road tests in Brampton, fail at the rate nearly five times the rate of drivers in Sault Ste. Marie.”

” The province-wide failure rate was 38 per cent for G1 tests and 32 per cent for G2 tests. Drivers’ chances, however, varied depending not only on where they were tested but on which of the province’s 300 odd examiners tested them.”

” In Brampton, for example, one examiner failed 71 per cent of G1 drivers, another examiner 44 per cent.”

Things to consider before booking your road test

Be realistic – to pass your test, one needs to posses two traits:

Confidence level – finding a right balance:  Some people are inherently  overconfident. Although these students have sufficient knowledge and skills to pass a driving test, they can still  perform poorly. The usual culprit is their lack of attention to details. They do not realize that “knowing something” does not always translate into “correctly applying that knowledge”.  Typically, this type of a student fails his/her road test because of a single error. For these students, passing a road test on their next attempt should be easy, as long as they follow the rules of the road with more precision. Here is a list of the major reasons for automatic disqualifications

On the other hand, some students may not have enough confidence to challenge their driving test. The vast majority in this group lacks proper driving skills. These students often fail their test by committing too many driving errors. If you have ever gone for your test before, and “too many driving errors” was a reason for disqualification, this means you should not have gone for that test in the first place. In this case, getting more practice on the road will be necessary. To learn more how to overcome your driving related anxiety, you can check my discussion for ‘nervous drivers‘.

Competence level – sufficient knowledge and driving skills: No matter one’s confidence level, even experienced drivers may learn the hard way, that it takes more than good car handling skills to pass a driving test. You only do well on your road test if you combine your existing skills with a correct application of the rules of the road. For students who find things like: taking turns efficiently, safe lane changing or various parking maneuvers challenging, my best advice is to improve your skills before attempting a road test.
